After careful consideration of COVID’s public health and safety impacts, and a record low distribution of mineral lease funds from the Department of Local Affairs in September, 2020, the Board of Directors has made the difficult but responsible decision to forego our annual awards luncheon, normally held every January. This pains us, because as you know, the luncheon is the highlight of our year, the time when we take a moment to celebrate the impressive accomplishments of our 2020 Grant Program Winners. Instead, we celebrate the first COVID vaccines and hope for their safe, expeditious distribution. The luncheon will be back in January, 2022.
